“Tell Everyone Now, today, I shall sing beautifully for my friend's pleasure We shall enjoy it As for him who finds fault, may silliness and sorrow take him!” Sappho

Celia Miller's music career spans two decades of performing, songwriting and teaching. Called the voice scientist by some students, Celia learned the foundations of her method from Master teachers of the Speech Level Singing method during 2008-2014 and was certified to Level 3. Since 2008 Celia teaches at her Holyoke studio while she has taught Jazz/Contemporary Vocal at Greenfield Community College of Massachusetts as well as voice and piano at The Springfield Conservatory. Celia teaches music theory and reading, plays jazz, bossa nova, folk, pop, R&B on guitar and accompanies her students on piano. She uses her own decades-long experience of performing solo and fronting pop-rock bands and jazz quartets to coach her students in their own performing careers as well as teaches songwriting from her own background of song-crafting and publishing. Presenting biannual "Singers Cafe" and frequent "Singers Cafe Acoustic" shows, she provides all her students with opportunities to hone their stagecraft and work with live bands. One of her greatest joys is to be an ally to a shy closet singer and see them onto the stage.
